Guy Davis is a celebrated blues, folk and Americana artist known for his virtuoso fingerpicking and soulful vocals. He performs an intimate solo concert at ALICE in Copenhagen.
His live repertoire combines original songs with interpretations of timeless classics, drawing on traditional blues, folk, gospel and Americana. He is as much a musical storyteller as a guitarist.
Davis grew up in New York as the son of actors and civil rights activists Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. He is also an award-winning actor and composer, received a Grammy in 2017, and has shared stages with Bruce Springsteen, Chuck Berry, Pete Seeger and B.B. King. He has also performed for Queen Elizabeth II at Royal Albert Hall and for Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
